Title: Metamorphoses - 2015 – 2024, recycled materials.

My most recent work is for my degree show, it’s an interactive installation of recycled materials formed into ball like shapes, within this work there are also lists of the materials included in the balls, and their relevance, some of the materials I used are from as far back as 2015, everything I’ve used in this artwork have been recycled and repurposed from old artworks and old clothing/belongings, I bought nothing new in order to make it, I wanted to see how far I could go in terms of reusing materials and creating something new and exciting with them, instead of throwing them away and creating more waste, one of the reasons for this use of materials, was my potential homelessness, and the need to downscale my belongings in order to make less belongings for me to find a place to keep them, and my financial hardships throughout this year, creating work from old artworks, made it so that I didn’t need to buy a lot of art materials that would put me in a worse position financially, after graduation, I plan on furthering this artwork and discussing the class differences within the art community and art education and the privileges that not all of us are gifted with.
